Since public bathrooms are the only unrestricted resort of the walking population wanting to ease themselves, it is but natural that human inflow in these bathrooms is considerably higher than that of the hotel bathroom, which only the hotel’s visitors and guests can use. Public bathroom users are accustomed to the fact that the public bathroom is anyways dirty, so they use it without caring much about cleanliness. On the other hand, users of the hotel’s bathroom are aware that it is cleaned regularly, which is why it is always spick and span. They use the bathroom carefully and ensure that they do not dirty it after their usage.
Malfunctioning of fittings
Many times in a public bathroom, things like taps and flush tanks do not properly work all the time. This leads to them becoming dirty after every successive use as the unhygienic dirt piles up. In contrast, the fittings in the hotel bathroom always function perfectly as they are monitored regularly by the maintenance staff. Water shortage is also a key cause
As the water supply of the public bathroom usually comes from a small tank placed above the toilet structure, it’s a norm for the water to get exhausted fast as the intake of users is on the higher side. Unlike public bathrooms, which are built with regular and inexpensive materials, with the tiling and flooring being of average quality, the hotel bathroom is built from prime material and boasts of the finest in wall tiles and flooring material. This does not absorb dirt and grime to that level and is easier to clean, making it much cleaner and smarter than a public bathroom.
